Heavy rain in central Europe, tending to drift east; staying hot and sunny in the south
Saturday Fine and hot for Spain and Portugal with plenty of sunshine. The chance of a shower in the Balearics. Fine for Corsica and Sardinia with more sunshine here. Italy and Greece should be dry and sunny as well as hot although some heavy thunderstorms forming in northern Italy, a few more scattered down the central spine. Scattered showers for the northern Balkan States, otherwise sunny here too. Türkiye will be fair with sunny spells and scattered showers. A fine summers day in France with dry conditions and lots of sunshine, some showery outbreaks east. Some rain in the Low Countries and northern Germany this turning thundery. Germany will have sunny spells and showers, more persistent rain, some thundery in the south. Wet Austria and Switzerland with heavy showers, some thundery. Poland has a mixed day, thundery showers here too. Showers more scattered northeastward through Czechia, Slovakia and Poland, though local thundery spots will occur. Drier and hot from Hungary to Bulgaria, only isolated showers near the Black Sea. Heavy showery rain for much of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway - local areas may avoid rain with good sun spells. Heavy rain across central and southern Finland, drier and brighter to the north. Showers and sunshine in the Baltic States. Southern Sweden, Finland, and the Balkan States may see a fine later afternoon with plenty of sun.
Sunday Another hot sunny day for Iberia and the central Mediterranean Islands - possibly an odd shower on Corsica. Afternoon thundery showery in central Italy, only scattered shower to the north. Heavy rain with thundery bursts around Croatia and nearby, drier with sun in the southern Balkans. Sunny with afternoon scattered showers for Greece and Türkiye. Dry bur increasingly cloudy across France, similar in the Low Countries with rain arriving later. A notable breeze along the English Channel and North Sea coasts. Often wet in Germany with increasing afternoon showers for a time, similarly showery in Switzerland, Austria and Czechia. A band of more extensive heavy/thundery showers stretches across Poland southward into Hungary and west Romania. East towards the Black Sea will be drier and mostly sunny. Morning sun in the Baltic States increasingly interrupted by heavy showers; Estonia may avoid the wettest conditions. A band of rain drapes across western Norway, stretching north east into north Sweden and Finland - thundery spells will occur. Central and southern areas away from this rain will see scattered showers and sun. Often rainy with sun spells in Denmark.
